DV 2024 Segments – Wanborough Hill, Tilford Road, Church Lane

Head out to Normandy via Old Woking. Take the road to Christmas Pie and the Wanborough Road segment starts along the flattish Westwood Lane, before the bend. Save some energy on the first part as it kicks up to over 12% as you climb up to the Hogs Back.
Descend to Puttenham and be sure to move to the centre of the road to take the right turn. Climb over the common to Elstead (possible coffee stop) before the ride to the start of Tilford Road segment at Rushmoor.
The long Tilford Road segment starts just after the Bel & Dragon pub, it gets steep at the bend after the garden centre. Towards the top the gradient eases and the segment finish is by the nursing home/bus stop. Ease off for the junction and turn left to Hindhead. The Cookie Bar or Hindhead NT café are possible coffee stops.
Enjoy the rapid descent to Shottermill then head through Haslemere (possible coffee stop) towards Wormley and Witley. The Church Lane segment is opposite the White Hart pub on the Petworth Road. The segment starts at the churchyard steps and ends at the driveway to The Hill House just before the junction. Be warned, the road is narrow, especially the descent to Brook.
From Brook head home via Milford, Godalming, Guildford, past the Duke of Wellington down to Cobham.
