Riding Groups

Finding the right group that has the right speed, distance and terrain is key to enjoying your ride. At Dittons Velo, we provide a range of rides that will suit beginners to the more experienced club cyclists. Look at the riding options below to help find the right ride for you:

These groups average from 25-32+ kph on beefy, demanding rides, where distance and hills are no object. Typically, they will cover challenging sportive routes. These rides suit fit, quick and experienced club riders.

Various groups averaging 20-24 +kph, riding medium to longer distances, sometimes into the hills, sometimes not. This is ideal for fit cyclists ready to improve their riding on adventurous, endurance- based routes.

The social group set the pace and route to ensure that everyone actually enjoys their ride. This depends on various constraints (weather, Harlequins Rugby XV playing at home, friends arriving and other such important things in all our lives).  We are not driven by performance or record breaking, but rather enjoying things: exercise, the mandatory coffee & cake stop, the occasional nice view, and being with each other.

These riding groups like to venture out onto trails around Surrey, Sussex and beyond. They take on undulating, off-road trails with a gravel orientated bike.

This group is a dedicated, resilient team of riders that like taking on extreme riding challenges. This crew regularly take on 100+, 200+ and 300-mile randonneuring events.

We have a small team of riders that like all things retro . Riding pre -1982 bikes, they celebrate riding before carbon frames , indexed gears and disc brakes. This group takes part in vintage events both locally and abroad.

Ride Safely

Although we are a very social, fun and informal Club, we want to have positive and safe relationships with other road users. Please make sure you have read the DV Guidelines on club etiquette and on keeping and being safe on the road.

If you are unfortunate and have an accident on one of our club rides, please report it using the templates below. Make sure you report it to the DV committee as soon as you have completed the form.
