2026 Segments

2026 is the 10th year that Clash & Dan have set you all a challenge to plan some new adventures in your bike.

“We have carefully selected 20 Strava segments that are within 35km of The Bear, and your mission is to try and visit them all before the 2026 Christmas Party. This year we bring you no less than 11 brand-new segments, alongside 9 old favourites, to test your navigation skills and climbing ability.”

“Think of this as a treasure hunt and a bit of fun! For safety, all the segments are climbs, and the start and end points are carefully considered. It is always your responsibility to ride safely based on the road conditions, other road users and your abilities. There is plenty of stopping distance before junctions on all segments, given you are going uphill, and you are not Tadej Pogacar.”

Click onto the Veloviewer website from the logo below and connect your Strava account (if you haven’t already done so) to start your 2026 campaign to be King or Queen of DV.

After you have ridden any of the segments, remember to go back to the page and click on the Check your times button to update the leaderboard. You’ll get points the first time you visit a segment, and additional points based on how your best segment time ranks against others who have ridden it IN 2026.

The top male and female riders at the time of the DV Christmas Party will be crowned the King and Queen of DV 2026.

Pro tip!! Your Wahoo/Garmin will often have a delay announcing the end of a segment, so ride to the road, not to your device.
