DV 2026 Segments – Tilford Street, Suffield Lane
Overview – Distance: 90 km, Climbing: 760 m
Café stop – Tilford, Normandy Village café
Another “New for 2026” segment, Tilford Street, is in the picturesque village of Tilford with a great pub and bridge over the river Wey. To get there, head out to Guildford and Peasmarsh on the Godalming Road. Up through Farncombe and through Elstead.
The Tilford Street segment starts at the Village Shop (possible refreshment stop) and finishes just past the school entrance. After this segment, head towards Elstead (another Village shop and café) and take a left turn up Fulbrook Lane. The next segment is an old one that last year was closed for bridge repairs.
Suffield Lane segment starts just past the bridge between Warren and Cuttmill ponds. The finish is at the crest of the hill by the “Road Narrows” sign. Descent to Puttenham where you find the lovely Good Intent pub.
With those segments complete, the next stop is coffee at Normandy Village. Climb up the Hog’s Back and descend Warnborough Hill to Christmas Pie. Follow the route to Normandy.
After cake, head home via Fox Corner, Old Woking and Ripley.
